A computer is an investment just like a car, and it’s crucial to take care of your investment to keep it operating at its best. Regular maintenance is just as important as oil changes are for your car. Our system tune-up includes:
- Memory and hard drive testing
- Testing the CPU (central processing unit) for overheating
- Power supply voltage testing (for desktop computers)
- Disabling unnecessary items from startup
- System driver updates
- Software updates (i.e., Windows, Adobe Reader, etc.)
- Repair of registry errors
- Removal of “bloatware” (unwanted manufacturer programs that clog your system and are rarely or never used)
- Removal of temporary Internet and system files
- Windows file system check
- Implement security procedures as needed
PLEASE NOTE: It is extremely rare that we encounter systems that do not contain any malware and only need an actual tune-up, as described above. Most tune-up jobs quickly turn into malware/virus cleanup jobs. However, if in fact there is no malware on your system and it is a straight tune-up job you need, the cost is only $95. Just so you aren’t surprised though, please review the information on the virus removal page.
